Here at Pro TV Wall Mount Installation we take a lot of pride in our installations. We have been mounting TV's since 2012. How did we start installing televisions? Well, it all started when we purchased our own 55" TV and decided that we wanted it up on our wall instead of on a stand. We took the initiative to learn the craft of a real secure mounting project. We found that a TV Mount needs to be securely fastened on a structural beam also known as a "stud". We used a "stud finder" to locate these structural beams. Once we located the beams, we marked them on the drywall with an "x". Next step was to make sure that the mount for the TV will be aligned and leveled. We used a "level" to make sure that all our drilling holes are aligned and evenly leveled. Once we have the exact perfect location for the holes that we will be drilling, we go ahead and use our drill and a driving bit. The driver bit is a drill bit that will make our initial hole for the bolt to screw into. Once we have drilled the four holes for the bolts, its time to get the mounting bracket up on the wall. One tech will need to hold the bracket while the other tech gets the bolts on. Now you start drilling the bolts into the beam through the drywall. You will know you are drilling into the beam once you feel the resistance of the "stud". Once you have the mounting bracket up on the wall, next you will need to check the level one more time to make sure everything is aligned and secure. After you are sure that the mounting bracket is evenly leveled, its time to get the second part of the mounting bracket on the back of the television. Most TV wall mounts will come with a universal set of screws, you will need to try each one till you find the correct fit.  When you locate the correct fit, its time to screw in the bracket onto the back of the television. YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE A DRILL TO PERFORM THIS TASK. If you do use a drill, you can end up drilling too hard and destroying the screen of the television.  After you have the mounting bracket on the back of the TV, its time to get the TV up on the wall. Most mounting brackets have hooks that will hook on from the back of the TV to the wall mount. Make sure you get both brackets hooked on properly, first you will hook the left side, then the right side. Once you have completed this task, the bottom of the TV bracket will clip right in.  Congratulations, your TV is now mounted and you are ready to watch TV. We hope this article helps with your next TV Installation, if you are still having trouble... We can get the job done for you. Give us a call and Enjoy!

When Wall Mounting a Television it is best to know your options while planning and deciding your installation. First you want to decide if you want your TV Mounted on a Flat Mount, Tilt Mount, or Full Motion Mount also know as a SwivelMount. Here are the differences between the mounts.

-FlatMount: Standard Stationary Mount that will hold the TV Flat on the wall.
-Tilt Mount: Stationary mount that will have the option to tilt the television as well as hold it flat.
-Full Motion Mount or Swivel Mount: Mount that will give you the option to pull the TV out of the wall and move it from left to right, you can also angle the TV to another side of the room so that you can watch it from and angle without and obstructed view.

Once you decide the type of mount that you want to use, next you will need to decide if you want the wires concealed inside of the wall or if you would like to use a plastic wire molding on the outside of the wall.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Wire concealment.
-Advantage: There will be no wires showing from the television down to where your components and power are connected.
-Disadvantage: There will be two rather large openings on your wall to pull the wires through and those openings will need to be patched up which can become costly and a nuisance. Especially if you are renting your home and will be moving in the near future.
